VINCENT PRICE, world renown for not only his cook books, but more importantly, his illustrious film career, ranging from roles in Laura to the Masque of the Red Death.
Other greats include his narration in 1982 for Tim Burton's short-film, Vincent, as well as his role which was said to juxtapose somewhat with the real-life personage of Anton LaVey in the films: The Abominable Dr. Phibes and Dr. Phibes Rises Again.
His many years of work as an actor took him from the stage to the Silver Screen to the boob tube and game shows, to voice overs for the likes of Michael Jackson. Despite his many "straight" roles, it is obvious that this Cult Classic has gone down in Entertainment History as the ideal villain.
Incidentally, it was the film Laura which inspired film maker David Lynch regarding some of the premise for his TV Cult Classic Twin Peaks and its story which revolved around a lass by the name of -- you guessed it: "Laura." |
