Few horror film fans know that they have probably seen the founder of the Church of Satan, Anton LaVey, on-screen!
From appearing in films produced by founding CoS member Kenneth Anger to serving as the technical advisor and playing the role of the devil in Roman Polanski's infamous, Rosemary's Baby.
Movies such as the Asylum of Satan boast the "Church of Satan" in its credits, but no doubt the most renowned of such films would have to be The Devil's Rain, which aptly cast Dr. LaVey in the role of the "High Priest."
Others in the cast of the Devil's Rain include: John Travolta, William Shatner, Tom Skerritt, Ernest Borgnine, and Diane LaVey, among others.
