The 1926 Silent Movie Metropolis reportedly had a rather profound and magical impact upon Anton LaVey, and both it and the infamous "Talkie," -- M -- which was also made by Lang, appear on the Church of Satan web site located on its "Sources" link. It has been reported that Peter Lorre's role as Film's original serial killer saved his life and won his passage out of Germany during WW II. |
