| Portrait of Me in Words | |||||||||||||||||||
| The Inspirer (ENFP): Extraverted, INtuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving As an ENFP, my primary mode of living is focused externally, where I take things in primarily via my intuition. My secondary mode is internal, where I deal with things according to how I feel about them, or how they fit in with my personal value system. I am a warm, enthusiastic person, typically very bright and full of potential. I live in the world of possibilities, and can become very passionate and excited about things. My enthusiasm lends me the ability to inspire and motivate others, more so than we see in other types. I can talk my way in or out of most anything. I love life, seeing it as a special gift, and strive to make the most out of it. I have an unusually broad range of skills and talents. I can excel at most things which interest me. To onlookers, I may seem directionless and without purpose, but I am actually quite consistent, in that I have a strong sense of values which I have lived with throughout my life. I need to feel that I am living my life as me and not for someone else, walking in step with what I believe is right. I see meaning in everything. I have great people skills. I am genuinely warm and interested in people, and place great importance on my inter-personal relationships with others. I almost always have a strong need to be liked. Sometimes, especially when I was younger, I was a little insecure and generally "overdone" in an effort to win acceptance. However, once I learned to balance my need to be true to myself and my need for acceptance, I have excelled at bringing out the best in others, and am typically well-liked. I have an exceptional ability to intuitively understand a person after a very short period of time, and I tend to use my intuition and flexibility to relate to others on my own level. I am basically a very happy person. I can get unhappy when they are confined to strict schedules or mundane tasks. Consequently, I work best in situations where I have a lot of flexibility, and where I can work with people and ideas. I can do my best with little supervision, as long as I like what I'm doing. It seems I am always alert and sensitive, constantly scanning my environments, I sometimes have a lot of muscle tension. I have a strong need to be independent, and resist being controlled or labeled. I need to maintain control over myself, but I do not believe in controlling others. My dislike of dependence and suppression extends to others as well as to myself. I can be charming, analytical, intelligent, risk-taking, sensitive, and people-oriented with capabilities ranging across a broad spectrum. I also have the ability to follow through on anything. It is very hard for me to give up on anything. |
