Bobcat

This is the first rank that EVERY boy MUST earn when entering Cub Scouts. It is earned by teaching the boys the cub scout promise, law of the pack, handshake, salute, sign, motto and the meaning of "Webelos". All boys must earn the Bobcat Badge before they can earn any other rank.

Cub Scout Promise

I,(name), promise to do my best                                                To do my duty to Gad and my country,                                      To help other people, and                                                        To obey the Law of the Pack.

Law of the Pack

       The Cub Scout follows Akela.                The Cub Scout helps the pack go.       The Pack helps the Cub Scout Grow. The Cub Scout gives good will.
