Cub Master
The Cub Master's responsibilities are:
To Conduct a Pack program according to the policies of the B.S.A.
Coordinate the Pack program, and leadership training, with the Committe, Leaders and Parents of the Pack.

See that Tigers, Cub Scouts, and Webelos receive a quality year-round program, in well functioning Dens

Lead the monthly Pack Meeting, involving all Dens in some way.
Mr. Chris Bennett
The current Cub Master of Cub Scout Pack 421.
He has been with the Pack since 1997 starting as an Assistant Wolf Leader, and moving into the Cub Master role in 1998.  Mr. Bennett also is the Pack Treasurer, and assists all Dens with their meetings. 
Mr. Bennett has completed Basic Leader Training, Youth Protection, Water & Boat Safety, and Baloo courses.  He has also completed Boy Scout Merit Badge Counselor courses, 3 Leader Pow-Wows as a student, and has been an instructor at University of Scouting.  Mr. Bennett is a key member of the Elizabeth River District Popcorn Sale fund-raising Committee.

He is employed at Northrop Grunman Newport News Shipbuilding as an SSRE, and Logistic Support.  He has lived in the Tidewater Area since 1984, and in Chesapeake since 1985.  He is active in the community, a member of the South Norfolk Moose Lodge, and worked with the Vietnam Veterans Haunted Forest from 1998 to 2006.  Mr. Bennett was also an active Band Parent for Oscar Smith High School, helping at almost every consession stand for the football season, and acting as chaperone for several out of town trips.

The Bennett's have 4 children, 2 boys 2 girls.  Youngest son was a member of Troop 42 moving to 48, where he completed the Life Scout Rank. Youngest daughter is studying at Virginia Wesleyan College.  Oldest daughter is a graduate of  C.N.U. with a Bachelor of Biology, and attending O.D.U. to complete a Master in Nursing. Oldest son is currently an apprentist tattoo artist.
