| Assistant Cub Master responsibilities are: Assist the Cub Master and fill in if needed. Supervise Den Chiefs, and promote the Religious Emblems program. Work with the Pack Committee and Leaders to insure a quality program for Scouts. Step in to help support Den Leaders, and be prepared to help as Den Leadership substitute if needed. |

| Mr. Charles Winkler Mr. Winkler is the current Assistant Cub Master of Pack 421. He has been with Pack 421 since 1999, and has also been an acting Bears and Webelos Leader along with the position of Assitant Cub Master. Mr. Winkler has completed Basic Leader and Youth Protection Training. Mr. Winkler was a Boy Scout as a Youth in St. Louis Missouri. Charles Winkler is an Eagle Scout, the highest rank a Boy Scout can earn. He is also a member of the Order of the Arrow. Membership in the prestigious group is life long once you are inducted into the Order of the Arrow, or become an Eagle Scout you are always refered to as current. Mr. Winkler is an active member of Raliegh Heights Baptist Church. He teaches Sunday School, is a Coordinator for the puppet team, and the grounds keeper. Mr. Winkler is married and has 2 children. The Winklers have lived in the Tidewater area for over 20 years. Their Daughter attends Tidewater Community College. Their son is employed after attending Tidewater Community College. Both Mr. Winkler and his son are leaders in Chesapeake Pride, a city wide youth organization working to keep kids off drugs. |
