Leader Resources

Pack 288 has a great program because of parental involvement. Scouting provides the framework to be able to do all kinds of fun and interesting things with your child(ren) but it takes volunteers to make it happen. The Boy Scouts of America provides training for volunteers and great program support such as low cost camp facilities and programs, skits, project ideas, monthly theme ideas, and so on. There is no sense in reinventing the wheel when it's all been done before!

We encourage at least one adult per family to take on one volunteer role, whether as a Tiger Den Leader, Awards Coordinator, or Blue & Gold Banquet Organizer - just to name a few of the opportunities. There's no obligation to volunteer but the more volunteers the pack has, the easier it is to deliver a great program. Together, we all make the pack run.
