| That Day On July 13, 2002, New Haven beat the Portland SeaDogs, a Florida Marlins affiliate, 4-2. The 7 and 8 hitters for the Ravens, catcher Chris Heintz and shortstop Jason Bowers, each went 3 for 4, with the latter driving in 2 runs. Starter Jeremy Cummings scattered 7 hits over 6 innings, walking none and striking out 5. Trevor Sanson and Scotty Layfield combined to pitch perfect 7th, 8th and 9th innings. |
