Camden, NJ - Campbell's Field
The Park
The independent Atlantic Leagues entry for 2001 was the Camden Riversharks.  Campbells Field, named for Camdens famous soup company (for a price of course), was ready just in time for the first game.  A few of my wifes uncles were there for the opener.  One of them told me he was the first one to use the mens room.  Mike, I hope thats not your 15 minutes.

The main feature of interest is outside of the ballpark.  The Benjamin Franklin Bridge, crossing the Delaware River between Camden and Philadelphia, is JUST past the outfield fence.  It is an awesome sight.  From the first base side, looking towards third, you can see the Philadelphia skyline.

The stadium is easy to get to, and parking is plentiful.  The New Jersey State Aquarium is right next door.  One of my favorite mascots is here, too - what else, a rivershark!  In 2002, a hammerhead mascot joined him.
