The Park
Skylands Park is home to the New Jersey Cardinals, the St. Louis affiliate in the New York Penn League.  The park, which resembles a barn from the outside, fits in nicely in its setting in rural North Western New Jersey.  Inside is pretty standard picnic areas and grassy knolls for the kids down the lines, stands with a wide aisle dividing the lower and upper seats in the middle.  Concessions are behind the stands.  The stadium, which along with
Mercer County Waterfront Park in Trenton opened in 1994, marked the start of a renaissance, of sorts, of professional baseball in the Garden State.  Six additional parks, each with its own team, of course, have opened in the past decade.
