Hamish! Bring back that towel!

This was our first ever gig, and we'd been practising quite a bit for it. We launched into Learn To Fly and Simon started playing the completely wrong beat (bless his little cotton socks), and I tripped over my guitar lead and pulled it out. But despite the initial hiccups, we were perfect from then on out (in my opinion anyway). Pretty standard gig really, I ranted at Peter Guy for his rather spiteful comments about my hair in the latest LMC newsletter ("I could model for Loreal!!"), and chatted to the band to piss Alan Bevan off. We played our finally finished choon, entitled Hamish! Bring back that towel! (by Mike), and I think it went ok, but I found it hard to sing the chorus as my voice was knackered from Learn To Fly. Finished up with Oxygen, which was pretty cool. All in all I thought we impressed quite a few people expecting us to be as bad as Kinel (come on, I know you loved Kinel but we were bloody awful), and the ever quoted Andrew Farnan telling us we were great, and he was really impressed by how much Simon's drumming has come on. He wasn't impressed with Simon's post gig drinking binge however. But that's a completely different story....
