This list of to-do's may help both you and your workers on your moving day.
1.
If unloading, write which room each box will go to. It would also help if each piece of furniture was marked. If you go around the house and label each room on a simple piece of tape, this will allow movers to move quickly and be effecient with time.

If loading, make sure you are done packing before your movers arrive. The more odds and ends that aren't in boxes the more time consuming it will be for your movers. Trips up and down stairs for loose items can be time consuming.

Take apart as much as you can:
If there are a lot of things to be dismantled it will take lots of time. If things are all ready taken apart time is not a problem.

Please make sure you know what you are taking and what you are leaving, deciding what is going with your movers present is very time consuming.
5.
Disconnect all appliances, the more time movers take to disconnect everything the more it takes to get the job done.
