Llewellyn's looking for Witchy Writers! Directly from WitchVox.com Jennifer Spees and Megan Atwood, two twentysomething witches, are looking for essays, true stories, and musings about the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of being a teen witch. If your work is selected, you will be published in the upcoming Llewellyn book 'The Witch Diaries'. They are interested in the following topics: - Are you out of the broom closet? What was it like to 'come out'? - Have you faced discrimination at home, work, or school? - How do you connect with other witches? - Any cool ritual experiences? Spells to share? - How did you become a witch? - Did you grow up as a witch? As a Christian? A member of another religion? - How do you practice magick? How do you define magick? - What does the Wiccan Rede mean to you in your daily life? - What advice do you have for other young witches? - Or anything else you'd like the world to know about being a teen witch... Your essay should be between 500 and 2500 words. The deadline for submissions is July 31st, 2002. Writers under 18 years of age will require parental permission for publication. You are welcome to write under a magickal or pen name. Please remember that publication is not guaranteed, but they want to hear from you. They also welcome general comments and suggestions regarding past and future teen books by Llewellyn.
