| Welcome to CTCA Curb Treasures. This idea was brought up at a 2007 board meeting as a way to exchange or recycle magazines. But why stop at that? There are many thing we throw away each week that may be of use to someone else that can be recycled within our community. So we've come up with a plan to allow our community members to OFFER items online and others in the community to RESPOND to the offers directly via e-mail. We've created a simple form and hopefully some simple guidlines to give this a try. We only have one moderator to approve posts, so please be patient and we'll update this page with additional guidelines as we give this a try and learn through trial and error. CTCA CURB TREASURE INFORMATION AND GUIDLINES Updated 10/02/07: > Use Curb Treasures at your own risk. > All item(s) being offered must be offered at no cost. Yes, 100% free stuff only. > No Advertising (We have an annual business card directory for that) > People who are interested in your item will contact you DIRECTLY, not through this website. > For Safety and Privacy! DO NOT EVER include personal information such as you full name, street #, or phone # in your posts. > Once someone has responded via E-MAIL and you wish to make arrangements for pick-up with them, you can provide this information at your discretion. > Do not post dangerous, offensive or hazardous items etc., such as guns, adult material, etc. > Give your item to whoever you want. But, If you can, wait 24 hours before deciding to whom to give the item so that everyone who is interested has a chance to respond. > Once the item has been taken, PLEASE submit a TAKEN post. This will help reduce e-mail for popular items. FOR FOLKS RESPONDING TO A POST > Please include a name, date/time you can pick up and keep your response short and polite. > Many folks may respond to a single ad, so check back on this website to see if the item was "TAKEN" before e-mailing the person again as the person posting the item may not be able to repsond to everyone. > PLEASE show up and remove the item when you say you will. From my experience that has been a big problem with other groups.
