| I started animating the first 4 3D scenes as I composed the 2 different objects (the earth and the spaceship) together within one scene, having the space scene ilustration as the backdrop. I included the particle effect (mainly HV Emitter and collision) just to create the effect of lazer blast or the smoky tail of the meteorise. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| Scene of the spaceship approaching the earth. It take several hours to render due to the complexity of the texture. | The lazer blast, created by using the HV (hypervoxel) particle while the impact effect is achieved by adding the shockwave and motion blur. | |||||||||||||||||||

My first 3D animation, mixed with life action sequence. I simply created by using hypervoxel particle while the head of the meteor is made of a really bright len flare. Within the process of making this scene, I use the actual VDO clip as the background so that I could use as the referrence for the direction where my meteor will be falling down into the ocean. The dynamic movement of the hypervoxel can be achieved by adding motion blur but because of the difficulty in making the effect of water splash, I decided to make a separated scene of the meteor being dropped into the ocean (which is entirely made of 3D CGI). |

This weekend I spend my time making the ocean, following a tutorial from a website, which instruct me of how to create the realistic ocean effect, by using the texture within the Displacement map in order to create the shape of the ocean out of the nurbe object and then animated it by using "a null" object as the referrence. The realistic look of the ocean can be achieved by adding the variety of gradient texture along with some procedure texture and also the use of some shader plug in like fast frensal and thin film and then concluded with "Sky tracer2", a plug in that help to simulate the real world light effect. |

The look of the ocean scene, composted with more than 6 000 polygons in creating this ocean. The smoking above is the hypervoxel particle, meant to be an effect for the meteor's tail. |
Final look of the ocean, very nice one, but take a long time to render. Approximately 5 - 10 minutes for each frame! | |||||||||||||||||||

I left my computer on whole day just to render the ocean scene since 10:00 am in the morning. I have to turn off the motionblur as well as some other raytrace rendering option (except the ray trace shadow and raytrace reflection) within the Render option in order to speed up the rendering process. Yet, it's still take several hours to make a complete 2 second clips. The rendering process is finished at 2:00 am of the next day. Hope that next time I will not face such a long rendering process like this one. |

| The look of the meteor as it is dropped onto the ocean. Unfortunately I can't find any tutorial to make the proper water splash effect. So I add the extra HV particle just to make the effect of spalshing water. | ||||||||||||||||||||
