4/10/2003 - 26/10/2003

Throughout this period I spend most of my time completing all the 3D scenes for my movie. Some of the scene involve with life action sequences where I combine the 3D character with the life action scene together as they are shown in the illustrations below.

2 images above showing the creature, Zetron, walking along the actual shot of the ocean.
Zetron terrorising the civilian of Geelong city.
THIS IS HOW I DID IT.
This effect achieves by using the plan rectangle, which has been surfaced with the VDO clip of the ocean and then composite with the 3D character. Then the VDO clip of the scene will be added as the background. Adding the particle effect of the splashing water also creating the effect of the creature walking along the ocean .
With this method I simply use the VDO clip as the background for the character as I set up the camera and light in the proper position.
From this scene, it displays a good example of incorporate the life action with 3D by allowing the 3D object to cast shadow onto the real object surface. The method is done by creating a rectangle box with the surface of an area of the VDO where you want the shadow to be casted upon. Then adjust the size of the box within the Layout as well as the level of the diffuse and illumination in order to math with the actual VDO clip which will be put as the background (see the illustration below just to get the idea of my method in casting the shadow of the 3D object).
