At 9:30 am, I went to Deakin University to shoot myself against the blue screen backdrop. I recieved the permission to use the room from a staff of Senior Video Producer named "Peter Lane", who is also provided me with the assistant in setting up the lightning.

Around 12:00 pm, I returned to Gordon to capture my blue screen footages into the hard drive and then saved them into my CD as the original clip before I will later on compose it with 3D background, either using the editing program like "Ulead Media Studio" or doing it in 3D program like "Lightwave 3D".

3 still photos from the clip displaying myself against the blue screen backdrop. During that time I have to make imagine that I was talking to a character who did not exist in the real world.

It has been a restriction within the position where I have to stand just to prevent my shadow to be casted onto the bluescreen backdrop and therefore I have to spend a few minutes to set up the proper angle for the image just to prevent any expose of the light or other area that is not bluescreen backdrop. However, if this kind of problem did occur that I happend to have the expose of the part that is not bluescreen, I can fix it by using photoshop and then overlay the part with the original clip.

The sound recording day. I used the program "Sound Forge 5.0" a sound editing program with the licence from the school. I went to pick up Greco Cheunge and make the recording at my house by using microphone that connected to my PC.

All the original sounds are saved in wave file format. However it is pretty weird that I could not open it in Ulead Media studio. Nevertheless, I still able to save it in quick time file and open it in Ulead Media Stuido but I will discuss this problem with Andrew Whiteford later.

Working with texture mapping for the building. I even have to use more of the procedure map just in case if I need to make the render for my animation, I don't need to open too many file (it's always happend everytime that when I open a lightwave file at the computers at school and then it could not locate the position of its component so I have to locate to it.

Dirt effect can be produced by using procedure map layer within the bumpmap along with adjusting the size and position of the map.

My first research, using the new plug in called Kaboom.

Keep on assigning the texture until I finally complete my building. Then I added some tree to the scene and also use the plug in "Saslite" to create the leaves effect. Unfortunately the added leaves don't cast shadow onto the object, therefore, I went to ask for the advice from Bradley Whillance, who suggest me to make another tree with the same size but added with rough polygon and then make it "unseen by camera" in order to cast the shadow for the saslite area.

(Bradley isn't my mentor although I did ask an advice from him and I did not have any mentor yet. However I intend to ask Mr. Scott Cameron, the owner of a lightwave tutorial website to be my mentor
