~ A Poem For My Mother ~
I miss you so much,
your laugh, your smile, your touch,
You always brightened my days,
with all the smiles you sent my way.
I need you as my angel,
to always be at my side.
I need you as my angel,
to give me peace of mind.
I like to think you near to me,
to know that you are there.
Even though I can not see you,
I feel that you are near.
Please do not forget me mom,
for you are always in my heart,
my thoughts and prayers.
I love you.

This page is dedicated in memory of my mom, Mary Elizabeth Mitchell Woods Whisenhunt. Mom was born in Greenbush, Virginia on Janurary 7, 1930. She died in Killeen, Texas on Feburday 25, 1999 after a long illness. Mom loved cats and had a very exstensive collection of them. I know she is smiling down from heaven as she sees this page. We love you Mom and miss you a lot. If you have lost your mother, I hope you will find comfort here. If you haven't, I hope it reminds you to tell her how much she means to you.
