| The Reality about Americans: (As I see it) - Page 4 |
| Are Americans knowing enough what is going on in the World? Nope, I do not think so! But, to their excuse, there is an explanation. The news system in the States is really extremely bad and tends to leave a lot out depending if it is political motivated or just not interesting to the USA. This fortunately has changed with the Internet. But only if one is interested in getting a rounded picture on what is going on in the world. I do not get my information from only one source: I get newsletters from Great Britain, Germany, France and the USA. I have several news web pages, I check once a week. It is sometimes really scary what is left out in the US Media. From economy, society, culture and news. Per example, did you know that Germans are training Iraqi Police-officers? Not in Iraq but in the Emirates. The first class has graduated summer 2004. I could go on and on. Here are some of my sources: Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (Frankfurt Newspaper - German) Der Main-Rheiner (Collection of News from Newspapers in the Rhein/Main-Valley - German) BBC (from London - English) Le Monde (from Paris France - French) Sidney Morning Herald (from Australia - English) Globe and Mail (from Canada - English) The Prague Union (from Czechia - English) A huge collection of international Newspapers online you find here.
