Blue and Gold Dinner
The Blue and Gold Dinner is a dinner held each February, where the second year Webelos cross over to Boy Scouts. The second year Webelos usually receive their Arrow of Light award at this meeting, completing their Cub Scout adventure.

Christmas Community Service
Every year in December, the pack performs a community service to celebrate Christmas. This community service is held in lieu of the regularly scheduled Pack Meeting.

In recent years, the pack has visited a local retirement center (Harmony and Serenity) to distribute Christmas ornaments, made by the Cub Scouts, provide cookies, and sing Christmas carols.

Collections
In this pack meeting, every Cub Scout is asked to bring one or more collections he has assembled for display for parent and fellow Cub Scouts.

Committee Meeting
The Committee Meeting is held the second Tuesday of each month at the VFW Post #7945 (10217 Quivas Street, located 1 block south of 104th Ave., approximately 1.5 miles westof I-25). These meetings are were the pack leaders meet to plan the next Pack Meeting, any upcomming events, plan for fundraisers, and distribute information from the District and Council. These meetings are open to any paren who may wish to participate.

Fall Roundup
Fall Roundup is the effort to sign-up new scouts for the pack at the beginning of the new school year. During Back-to-School night, the pack has a booth which provides information about Cub Scouting and our pack and invites boys to our Sign-Up Night, usually the following week. During the Sign-Up Night, new Cub Scouts sign-up and meet some of the pack leadership.

Please note that returning scouts need not attend Sign-Up Night, as they can sign-up for the year with their Den.

Good Turn Week
This is a Boy Scouts of America event where evey scout, including Cub Scouts, perform a good deed for thier respective community. Our project has yet to be determined.

Other Pack Meeting Activities
During the year, in addition to the above regularly scheduled events, the pack also other events on a fill-in basis. Examples of these include magic shows, knights in armor, and bird and reptile exhibits.

During the summer, in addition to the above regularly scheduled events, the pack also other events on a fill-in basis. Examples of these include picnics and trips to local auto races.

Pack Graduation
The Pack Graduation is held each May. It's at this Pack Meeting when all of the Cub Scout move up to the next level. For example, the Tiger Cub offically becomes a Wolf Cub Scout. As a result, the boys can begin working toward thier new rank badge over the summer.

Pinewood Derby
The Pinewood Derby is an annual car race where the cars are made by the Cub Scouts. Trophies are awarded for first (1st), second (2nd), and third (3rd) place finishes. In recent years, the adults have participated in a separate race after the Cub Scouts have completed their race.

Each boy is to create a car from a standard kit, provided by the pack, which meets a minimum set of criteria, such as weight and ground clearance, to prevent track obstruction.

Numerous web sites are available to provide tips and hints for making the best race cars possible.

Popcorn Sales
During the fall, the pack holds its primary fundraiser, selling Boy Scout popcorn. Although not the only method of raising money for the pack, selling popcorn is the primary source of funding for all pack activities and awards.

The popcorn fundraiser consists of two different parts. First is a booth for selling to the general public. This occurs in late August, prior to the actual start of the school year. The second part of the popcorn sales is the traditional door-to-door sales. This takes place the first month back to school.

As part of the overall BSA popcorn sales effort, the boys will earn prizes from the BSA based upon the total sales, this includes both the booth sales and the door-to-door sales.

Pumpkin Carving
At the October Pack Meeting, the holds a pumpkin carving contest and a costume contest. The Cub Scouts arrive in cosutme and awards are presented for the best costumes. The scouts bring a pre-cleaned pumpkin and carve a design or face. When the pumpkins are done, everyone heads outside to light the candles and see which pumpkin is the best.

Raingutter Regatta
The Raingutter Regatta is a bi-annual boat race where the boats are made by the Cub Scouts. Trophies are awarded for first (1st), second (2nd), and third (3rd) place finishes.

Each boy is to create a boat from a standard kit, which meets a minimum set of criteria. The boats are then raced in a sealed raingutter and powered by the Cub Scout blowing on the sail through a straw. The first to reach the end of the raingutter wins.

Rocket Shoot
Every year the Cub Scouts get together, outside of the normal Pack Meeting, to shoot off model rockets made by the Cub Scouts. The Rocket Shoot will be held at Bear Creek Lake Campgrounds where we'll be having a weekend Family Camping.

Scout Show
Annually, the Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America holds a show for all Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, and Venture crews. Each unit (pack, troop, or crew) presents a both which provides entertainment and education. The first (1st) year Webelos determine the subject of the booth for Pack 222.

Skits and Pot Luck
At this pack meeting, the dens shall present to the rest of the pack and thier parents, skits, song and jokes they choose. Also, everyone brings some food (sign-up sheet to be routed) for a pot luck dinner after the entertainment.

Summer Camping
During the summer months, the pack attempts to have one (1) or more camping trips to different public camping location throughout the state. These camping trips are family camping trips, which means its open to the Cub Scouts, their parents, and their siblings.

These camping trips always require adult volunteers to help plan and coordinate the trips. Please don't hesitate to contact a member of the Pack Committee to volunteer.

Flag Retirement
Each year the Denver Area Council Sponsers a Flag Retirement Ceremony (Where flags are properly Destroyed) This usually takes place at a local City Hall.

Summer Day Camp
Each year, immediately following the end of the school year, the Valley District holds a week long day camp for all district Cub Scouts. The day camp has activities planned around the activities and skills presented in the different Cub Scout rank handbooks.

On that Friday, the Webelos hold a camp out. A parent or other approved adult must spend the night with the boy.

Each Den needs to coordinate the Day Camp for itself. One (1) or two (2) parents, depending on the number of boys attending, supervise all of the boys from the den. Usually, each participating parent volunteers for one (1) day during the week.

The Day Camp also has baby siiting available for younger siblings.

Lake Day
Each summmer, the pack attempts to hold a family Lake day. This Lake day is open to all pack family members. These Lake days are usually held at Boyd Lake State Park Group Picnic Area reserved for the pack.

The Lake days always require adult volunteers to help plan and coordinate. Please don't hesitate to contact a member of the Pack Committee to volunteer.
