Today is the last day of Paramedic school for the Providence ER-Doc Paramedic Training Program. In which I am a student.
I have finished all of the requirements and ended the class with a Gpa of 89.6 . Not quite the 90 % or more I was hoping for but close.
It is also an A-shift As well as the first day back from my vacation.
I arrived back in the land of E.M.S. refreshed and ready for work.
Surrounded by a sphere of Vacation Calm.
Ken is also on vacation so...
I was working with Brian on 93 which is a change for me but since I haven't been near an ambulance for a week I hardly notice...
My sphere of Calm was only disrupted twice for 2 calls.
The first was a transport of a 14 year old boy who had suffered severe burns to his right hand and arm. To Metro Health Burn Unit.
The kid had filled a balloon with ascetylene and popped it with a lighted match.
Not smart! The subsequent Fire Ball engulfed his arm in flames...
Soon after that We were dispatched to a School bus Returning from Cedar Piont Which pulled off of the highway because a student was having an asthma attack. She was transported to EMH and released a short time later.
Next shift Ken comes back from his vacation.
I Can't Wait, Dawn and I both have Fish Stories to tell him...
