Well I am working a C - shift today,
because the E.T.F.D. Steak Fry is on saturd-"A" the 26th
and as with all volunteer Fire department Activities...
Participation is what makes it work!
This event is no exception...
( in fact this is one of the most important events due to the fund raising aspect.)

So in order to participate I am working on C-shift.
Andy and Tina from "C"
swapped shifts With Brian and I
(so at least I was able to work with a familiar person.)

Only one wrench in the works...
It is Friday...
and that means school.
So for the First eight hours I was "Learning"
School was interesting today....
We are working on advanced airway procedures
ie: cricothyrotomy
Since humans are alot like Pigs we were practicing on "pig anatomy"
(That means the lungs trachea and laryngeal structures of dead pigs)
(that had been removed, boxed sent to our classroom from the slaughter house)
It was fun and it smelled great!
( I am glad I don't eat pork )

After school it was time to get to work,

Spring Fever was in effect and the city was busy.
nothing too bad just the usual stuff.
I was fortunate enough to meet some "new friends"
at one of the 37 bars in Elyria.

Apparently Friday is Fight Night!
Someone was heard screaming "Lets get it on"
and they did!

I love Drunk People!
They are fun and they smell great!

I was getting it easy compared to 310...
They were on a car wreck and a half!

Seems there was an accident on the highway between 2 cars.

No big deal,right?

The police and a truck driver stopped to help the victims...
when another vehicle plowed through the accident scene !

Forcing the cop and the truckdriver
over the wall on the side of the Highway.
but there was a 30 foot drop to another road!
which took the life of the truck driver
and severely injured the police officer.

There were about three or four ambulances
(from Lifecare and North Central)
Two LifeFlight helicopters,
Firefighters and police.
There was Picture on the front page of the paper.

The next call 310 had was another wreck,
car vs. Building.
The Patient in that one was also flown out.

Talk about luck...

I fealt that this was a sign:
That there would probably be no sleep tonight.
and
I was right.

which made for a long day ahead!

so for now

I need a nap.
