Lagrange Jiu-jitsu Academy is run by Gracie black belt Chet Schemahorn who has 13 years of jiu-jitsu experience under Rorion and Royce Gracie. Recently Chet has been studying with Ryron and Rener Gracie (Rorion's oldest son's). Chet has put together a top notch academy that will rival any jiu-jitsu academy.

Lagrange Grcie Jiu Jitsu now offers a women only self defense class. The women's only self defense class is from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM Mondays, and the cost is $10 a class.
Casey Johnson has a title fight with XXX Extreme fighting October 18th in South Bend. Please make it out there and show your support for Casey.

Lagrange Gracie Jiu Jitsu is now an official Gracie Combatives training center. Come in and see what the combatives program can do for you with 10 free days of training. The 10 day trial includes the use of a Gi and also training with a Gracie Jiu Jitsu black belt.

Great lakes tourney on March 24th was a great success.
* Joel Pippenger got gold in the lightweight blue belt and silver in no gi.
* Zach Shultz got silver in the blue belt heavy, gold in the no gi intermediate heavy, and gold in the no gi intermediate absolute.
* Nate Steffen got gold in the blue belt heavy, gold in the blue belt absolute (won the money!), and silver in the no gi advanced
heavy.
