Do you have any idea about what true equality is?

What is the future of womens lives?

Written by Shin Ji Hwan

All human beings are born with their own rights to live freely. They can do anything they want if they do not harm other people or living creatures. As they have precious rights, all of them have to be treated equally. Then, what is real equaility? Does it mean communist countries that provide all the people with limited profit? It surely isn't. I think real equality means that there are no walls or hindrances between men and women.

However, in my country, Korea, still remains a few prejudices about women. The women here cannot be employed as supervisor easily like men because women will have a baby or focus on raising their children. In addition, we usually use family name instead of our mother's name in this society. This is not a world in which all the people are living of their free will. How we change our Earth more harmonious depends on how we destroy the strongest and highest walls between male and female. This is a kind of task we should perform to live in a beautiful globe.

The first task we have to do is to think ladies first. It means all the men in the world should respect the opposite gender. For instance, men are able to offer their seat to ladies and lend their umbrella in a pouring rain. But this thought must not stray from the right path; women might supress men if they abuse their power. The balance of humankinds' harmony could be broken down.

In addition, we should shorten the gaps between men and women. For example, we could give our children common names which include fathers' and mothers' names at the same time.(If my father had last name of 'Shin' and my mother had last name of 'Choi', I would have 'SHin-Choi' as my last name).

If we tried to make lots of efforts to live in a world of real eqyality, all humankinds shall be the ones soon without any barrier of discrimination between men and women.
