| Here are some basic tips to improve the way you play. 1. Crouch when shooting to improve accuracy. Be warned, when you crouch it leaves your head at gun level for close opponents. 2. Fire in bursts when hitting long range targets. A popular strategy is to double-tap. This is where you shoot 2 shots then wait for your crosshairs to get thinner before firing again. 3. Buy kevlar and helmet if you can afford it. It will greatly increase your chance of survival. 4. It is a good idea to buy defusal kits when you're a CT. It cuts half the time it takes to defuse a bomb. 5. Use a microphone or headset to talk to your teammates to where the other team is. It saves much time rather than typing messages. 6. In most cs_ maps, if you're a T then you should probably camp or guard the hostages (hosties). This enolves staying at your spawn point. However the CTs should rush in the cs_ maps. 7. Using your radar properly can give you a vital advantage to where enemies are lurking, where the bomb is,etc. White dots indicate where your teamates are. If there is a T on your radar, a teamate is on a level above you. An upside down T signifies a teamate on a level below you. A red dot is a teamate carrying the bomb and a flashing red dot is where the bomb is dropped. When you listen for footsteps and watch your radar, you can tell if an enemy is near by or if you want to meet up with a teamate. 8. On de_ maps, the Ts are on offence, rushing towards the bomb site. 9. Try to hide behind crates and walls to surprise the enemy with your gun fire when you are being chased by an enemy. 10. In order to win in CS, you must work as a team. Usually there should be squads of 3-4 people going off into the different areas of the map. (ex. Ts in aztec. 3-4 people go the bridge, 3-4 to the water and 3-4 cover or rush double doors.) |
