Step 3

1. Locate the 2 screws under the steering colum. Unscrew them with a phillips screw driver and put them away safely.

2. Remove the fuse cover and locate a 3rd screw under the steering colum. Unscrew it with a phillips screw driver and place it with the others.

3. Remove the entire steering dash (2 peices of plastic above and below steering wheel). Your ignition should look like the picture below.

4. On the left of the steering wheel locate the harness for the lights and turn signals. Remove it from it's socket.

5. Remove the center harness on the top of the steering wheel for easy access to the wires. Bring them around near the ignition.

6. Locate the Red wire with the green stripe on the larger of the two harnesses.
7. Carefully strip the wire in the center providing a place for wire connection.

8. Connect the white wire (wire for parking lights)from the alarm harness to the Red/Green wire.
9. Carefully tape it with electric tape or if you are good at soldering, that is preferred. I do not know how to solder well so I use electric tape. Make sure you wrap it good so that it does not come loose. (the picture below demonstrates how all taping should be done.)

IMPORTANT - Using tape to secure your wires is not recommended. If at possible DO NOT USE TAPE. If you cannot solder well, buy some T-tabs because on a hot day, the tape WILL melt, expose the wires, and short the alarm. I used the tape just to illustrate wire connectivity.

10. Locate the Black/Yellow wire leading from the ignition. Strip it and connect it to the yellow wire (12v from ignition) on the alarm harness. Tape and secure.

11. Locate the solid White wire leading from the ignition. Strip it and connect it to the red wire (12v from battery) on the alarm harness. Tape and secure.

12. Locate the Black/White wire leading from ignition. Cut it in half.

13. Find the brown loop (onboard starter interupt) that attatches to the modulator. CUt that in half.

14. Connect one half of the brown to one half of the Black/White wire. Tape and secure. Repeat with the other half.

15. Attach the red wire leading from the siren to the brown wire on harness. (This will be a thinner brown wire than that of the ignition wire. It will be connected to the harness as the ignition brown wire is not {on my model} ).

16. Attach the green wire (door trigger neg.) to the black/white wire (relay dome light) togeher. Attach a 3 feet wire to the end of that. (the reason will be explained in step 3)

17. Attach the black wire from the alarm harness to a propper ground.

(I Cut and taped the orange, blue, violet, and white/red wires. I did not need them for my car because I am only using one channel. If you know you are going to use them, then use the Wire COlor list to correctly install them.)
