About Us:
The 44th TN. reenacting
unit was organized in 2007 by a group of veteran Civil War re-enactors
striving to portray the common Confederate soldier during that perilous
time period. We welcome men and women with this same dedication
and commitment to join us in this portrayal of soldiers and civilians.
The 44th TN. prides itself in being a reenacting unit for
all who want to enjoy this incredible hobby. We are based mostly
out of Central Indiana but have members throughout the state.
Our unit is affiliated with two battalions which allow us to have representation
at just about any reenacting event in the East, Midwest and South.
The 44th TN. is dedicated to keeping the memories of our
Southern heritage alive while helping educate the public about the Civil
War through battle reenactments and living histories.
If you are interested in Civil
War reenacting and would like to give our group a try
please contact 1st Sgt. Chuck Cunnyngham. We would
love to have you join us at our next event. We are prepared to
help you get started in this hobby with some loaner equipment and advice
on the most appropriate equipment to purchase. It takes nothing
but for you to say you want to give it a try to get into the field.
