Sou-sama,
Phantom Saint of the Red Phoenix and Dark's mentor for five years. Sou was
a master fo the sword and a great teacher. But his time was short.
He teaches everything he knows to Dark to train him to be the next Phantom Saint
of the Red Phoenix. Sou was a kind, gentle soul, and a great man. In
the first issue he dies by Dark's hand as he wanted it, forever living on in
Dark as a spirit.
He reminds Dark that he must become one with the sword during the fght against Tou of the Blue Dragon. We find out also that Chao and Sou were lovers at one point. Sou reappears via Dark during the fight between Chao and Dark. He saves her from her own unfinished spell before letting Dark return.
Sou was the last remaining Phantom Saint of the last four before Dark took his place. Now there are four new Phantom Saints.
