Kyo is one of the four spirit guides for the Phantom Saints, the other three being Bee (of White Tiger), Shiki, and Setsuka. Kyo is the Spirit Guide for the Red Phoenix. Her duty is to make sure that Dark gets to Oukoku safely and declare himself the new Phantom Saint of the Red Phoenix. She saves his life when he refuses to defend against Chao's attack after he learns why she wants to kill him by taking the lightning bolt meant for him. She dies form this, but is resurrected by Leen-sama.
She is very feisty and temperamental, firing off at Dark on more than one occasion. She yells at him when she discovers they've ended up in Toi, instead of Oukoku, and when they et lost again. SHe even goes so far as to do this:
Feisty
indeed! He's the Phantom Saint, after all! She speaks her mind, and
its partly the truth. This is the second time they get lost, in the
beginning of Issue #7. They get into a fight, and she leaves him.
Later, after Kin-sama leads Dark to his house, she introduces Dark as the
Phantom Saint of the Red Phoenix. After Kin and Dark fight, she heals all
of Darks wounds. Kyo is faithful, although very much stubborn.
