Here are some frequently asked questions that will explain more about what I do:
What materials do you use?
I use only genuine Swarovski crystals. Cheaper plastic gems lack the same brilliance and sparkle as Swarovski ones. The glue used to stick the crystals is formulated specially for use with gemstones and only available in the USA. It will not cloud the gem and gives a superior hold.
What kind of items do you customise?
Most commonly requested are mobile phones and MP3 players. I can also do shoes, sneakers, cameras, laptops, ERP covers, compact cases...whatever you want.
Will the crystals drop?
With normal usage they will not fall out. But if you drop your item, some stones will definitely fall out. As with all handmade products, extra care has to be taken to avoid excessive abrasion. I provide each customer with a "patch-up" kit to replace some of the stones that may have fallen off. This kit includes a small bag of glue, and crystals in the various colours used.
Is it permanant?
From my point of view, I say yes. Some sites may claim that stones can be easily removed, and advise you to use nail polish remover or acetone to remove the stones. But do note that although these products will dissolve the glue, it might also 'eat' through the paint and plastic of your item damaging it permanently. If you are afraid you might have a change of mind, I would suggest you to buy an extra phone cover for me to crystalise. This way you can swap covers as you like to suit your mood.
How long will it take?
Depending on the item, the time required will be different. A rough guideline would be 2-3 days for small items.  A custom design crystalised laptop may take up to a week or more. Please take note it takes 24 hours for the glue to dry completely.
Please feel free to email me any other questions you might have.
