These recipes have been compiled from the colonists' own files, and bound together as a suggested meal planner for our residents. You will find some unusual (and perhaps horrid) delicacies only found on this Isle to supplement your suppers and maintain proper health. With that said, happy dining!

Ostrich Bites--courtesy of the Pleasuredome Kitchen Staff.
Ingredients:
In large bowl, marinade the ostrich meat cubes in the lemon water and chopped seaweed overnight. At dawn, drain bowl, discarding chopped seaweed and reserving 1/4 cup of the lemon water. Place ostrich cubes in skillet, frying until golden brown. Pour reserved lemon water over the cooked ostrich and fry again. Serve immediately, serves a bunch.
!Travelers Bread--complements of Donk's personal recipe files
Ingredients:
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, kneading until a large, sticky mass of dough forms. Sprinkle rye flour and continue to mold into a loaf shape. With knife, slice the top of the bread about 3 inches to ensure even firing in the oven. Cover unbaked loaf with wet bartowels, leaving on counter overnight. At dawn, fire in oven until bread turns a darkened brown. Serves 12.
Stewed Mer with Isle Fruit Sauce--submitted by the Ogre colony, East End.
Ingredients:
After hanging freshly slain mer from a stake to bleed (about 2 hours), slice thinly and boil mermaid in kettle over open flame for one hour. Add seaweed and continue stirring with stick until seawater has evaporated into the flesh. When the liquid evaporates, add all fruit and cup of juice, simmering until bananas are mush and mango has dissolved. Serve warm in bowls, adorning bowls with even amounts of mer-tail to make it as pleasant to the eyes as the belly. Serves 2.
Candied Human in Pineapple Boat--A Dragon Favorite from the Barrier Isle
Ingredients:
After shredding pixies, mix in large bowl with sugar and water. Let marinade for three hours. Scoop mixture into pineapple halves evenly, and chill for an hour. Immediately before serving, garnish with cherries. Serves 1 dragon.
Boiled Lobster--courtesy of the House of Carazzi's Kitchen Staff
Ingredients:
Fill kitchen cauldron with water, adding seaweed. Boil water and do not stoke the fire for awhile, allowing the temperature to even out. Drop lobsters into the cauldron, claws first. Stoke the fire, bring to a roaring boil. Leave lobsters be until they are brightest red. With shovel, dig them out of cauldron, allowing to drain for a moment. Serve. Offer butter if it is available. Serves a bunch.
