Crystal the second daughter born to the Inhumans nutritionist Ambur and Quelin, was exposed to the Terrigen Mists as a child, the powers that manifested in her were the four basic elements, Earth, Air, Water, and, Fire. Crystal belongs to a race of Artificially created beings known as the Inhumans. The Inhumans gain their special powers, by entering the Terrigen Mists. She is part of the Royal family and a decendant of Randak. She met and fell in love with Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch. The Inhumans retured to Attilan and the Fatastic Four fallowed them their. Maximus created a naggitive barrier to keep Inhumans and Humans separated.   But Blackbolt broke the barrier by using his sonic voice. Crystal went to New York to see Johnny and joined the Fantastic Four while the Invisable Woman gave birth to her son.   Since Inhumans are not immune to Earths air like Humans, Crystal became very sick and had to return to Attilan, on her way there she came across an injured mutant named Pietro Maximoff aka Quicksilver. She fell in love with and took him to Attilan with her and nured him back to health. Johnny came to vistit Crystal and was heart broken when her found about her and Pietro. Soon Crystal and Pietro married.
     They enjoyed thier married life for a short time and had a daughter named Luna who was a normal child (since Inhuman and Inhuman genes cancl each other out.) Luna was the first baby born on the moon (Attilan had to be moved there because of the pollutents coming into the city.) Pietro didn't feel like his mew in laws liked him very much so, he began to spend time with the Inhumans Miltia instead of Crystal. Crystal became lonely. Mr. Fantastic developed a vaccine to allow Inhumans to tolerate the Earths air. The Maximoff's were on Earth visting the Scarlet witch and the Vision, Crystal met and fell in love with Norm Webster The Scarlet Witch ans Visions real estate broker. Pieto found out about the love affair while he stayed bedside by Crystal while she was recovering from an overdose of the vaccine. he went mad and left Crystal.
     Crystal once again joined the FanFour and tried to reconcil her relationship with Johnny but he was married to Alicia Masters. The Royal Family ordered Crystal to reconcil with Pietro and return to the moon.
    Crystal and Pietro separated again and Crystal left Attilan with Luna and went to Earth, she joined the Avengers. Pietro joined the government sponsored team, X-factor . While Crystal was with the Avengers she fell in love with Dane Whitman, the Black Knight III. Quicksilver later joined the Avengers after Luna was kidnapped by Fabian Cortez (see The Avengers/X-men crossover Blood Ties). The Black Knight and fellow Avenger Sersi went therough a portal to the Ultraverse. After that again Crystal and Quicksilver got back together. It didn't last long though because during a battle with the mutant Onslaught Crystal sacrificed herself along with every other non-mutant super hero, to stop him.
     Crystal and all the other heroes lost in the battle returned to earth and Quicksilver and Crystal got back together. The Black Knight also returned from Ultraverse and he and Pietro fought over Crystal. Crystal called them immature and said she didn't want to be with either of them.
     She took Luna to Attilan and Pietro went to Genosha to keep a watch on his father, Magneto.
     Crystal stayed with her family and even moved Attilan to the it's new location (see the Marvel Knights: Inhumans). As far I know Crystal is still with her family and she is still separated from her husband.   See may be making appearnce sometime soon in the Avengers, but don't count on her rejoining the team (at least not as long as Kurt Busiek is writing it).
