The Effects of Fatherlessness
A Fatherless Nation...
If you grew up going to church, I'd like to ask you to consider a couple of things. Have you ever thought about the fact that the only story in the Bible where a Husband was justified in divorcing his wife, was the story of Mary and Joseph? Eventhough Joseph could have legally "divorced" his wife when she turned up pregnant, he chose instead to remain with her and raise the Son of God in an intact home.
Have you ever considered the fact that eventhough Christ would be born of a virgin, God made sure that she was a virgin who would be married so that His Son could be raised in an intact two parent home? Have you ever considered that before sin even entered the world God informed Adam and Eve that the "two would become one flesh"? Have you ever thought about the fact that since this was before any sin entered the world, then this was God telling them what he was doing--making the two, one-- and not God telling them what he expected of them?
