The Cardinals were expecting to do very well at the 2000 Section 4AA Championships. Like 1999 however, it turned into disappointment. One top runner dropped out of the varsity race and everyone else had slower times than their goals. Overall, the Cardinals finished 12th out of 16 teams, beating Champlin Park, Mahtomedi, Blaine, and Hill-Murray.
