A Wedding Poem For Sons

Valerie Hardin

Don't think you are forgotten Among the pretty decorations

Rows of Flowers

And candles burning

Remember your mother thinks of you

How you used to be a

Like the ring bearer

Small years ago

Your bones growing into manhood

Yes she will miss those times

When you were her little boy of yesteryear

But her tears wash that way and her joy comes through

As soft smile across her lips

That you have turned into all that she could hope for

A walking dream

Taking the hand of the one you love
