This page is dedicated to the hobbie of customizing a classic 1968 Chevy Pick-up. On this page you will get an idea of how easy it is to act on customizing your own truck. As I am not a wealthy person nor do I own my own shop, but the majority of the features on my truck were built on a super low budget. In which, I learned to use alot of recycled parts from many different types of vehicles. Since then I began to customize my truck knowing that there was not to many companies who were offering custom parts for the year of this truck. So with a little improvizing & alot of hard work I was able to accomplish what I was set out to do and that was to customize my truck to the best of my ability. And with great accomplishment many of my tasks were done as you well see when viewing my website. Well hope that you will find this website to be enjoyable as I did when preparing it.....GABRIEL

My truck started out as a 6cycl. 3-speed, utility truck, with the boxes on the sides, as basic as they came in 68, didn't have power brakes, am radio, heater and that's it...Basic.

Similiar to the picture above. This truck is a 1972 chevy utility with the boxes on the sides.

This is at the Texas Heat Wave 2001. As you can see my truck as a full tilt frontend, with fully operation hood. It also, has tilt bed, dropped down low with with Belltech spindles, and Belltech springs. The wheels are Centerline 94 Series on BFGoodrich T/A's. Here my truck is sporting a scallop primer scheme using red primer scallops with lite grey outlined on dark grey primered body.

Recycled Parts and their uses:

• My 68 came originally with no power brakes and drum brakes all around. Now I have disc brakes in the front. The disc are from a 1973 Chevy pu, and are the brake calipers and ball joints. The spindles are for a 1973 Chevy pu. The power brake booster is from a 1972 chevy pu and the master cyclinder and some of the brake lines.
• I utilized a radiator off of a 1955 chevy pu inorder for the radiator to fit between the frame rails. Since my truck has a tilt frontend the radiator support tilts also. The radiator is independant from the frontend, and is supported with two rods to the firewall.
• The tilt frontend is all original sheetmetal, no fiberglass, the hood still operates normally using all its original hardware. One of my latest additions to the frontend is I have a full phampton billet grille, a new GoodMark Cowl Induction hood (steel) and new GoodMark fenders.
• The power window regulators were donated by a 1985 chevy Silverado pu. With slight modification to my inner door panels and some slight modification to the regulator guide wheels, and now my truck has power windows. The total cost: under $120. ($40 per regulator/motor and $10 for the wiring harness the rest for misc. stuff like bolts and cutting blades.
• The tilt column is from a 1977 chevy monte carlo with a floor shift. With minor modifications you can make it work on your truck, the column offers tilt, locking steering wheel, hazard lights. The cost: $35. (p.s. another part you may need to buy is an adaptor to connect the column wiring to the truck's wiring the plugs are different, thier is a adapter which costs something like $20)

I have found some badass examples of some other kickass truck of these years: 1967-72 Chevy and GMC's in either stepside or fleetside configurations.
