Desert Sands I look to the horizon And it seems so very bleak No oasis to be seen And my will to live grows weak As long as you were with me I could brave the desert sands I had the strength to conquer No expedition too grand But now you're gone, I'm alone And it all just seems too much I long for your company And I hunger for your touch The hot sands of the desert Will cover me where I sit Swallow me forever, and That will be the end of it No one will mourn my passing No one will know I am gone And I would rather go than Live forever, here, alone copyright 6/2/2001 Terri Lyn Stanfield All rights reserved
Dreary Existence My heart is bleak and empty There is no life left in it There is no love, no hope It's beat but a dull thud The feel of it hitting my chest wall My only sign that I still live If one could call it life Though it is no life to me Only a dreary existence And I wish only for it to end copyright 6/2/2001 Terri Lyn Stanfield All Rights Reserved.
You Made Me Believe When my soul was at its nadir You reached down in to the depths of my misery And taught me how to love again You gave me a reason to live Showed me that hope does still exist You made me believe in angels And I am your for as long as you will allow copyright 6/3/2001 Terri Lyn Stanfield All rights reserved
Time Drags By The time drags by My heart hurts so I need you here And you, I know Wish I were there We must endure This time apart Though I'm not sure That I can take Much more of this It hurts too much And how I miss The way your hand Feels held in mine The way you smile How, every time Your eyes light up At sight of me The way I feel As part of "we" But then again If that's the cost That we must pay Then all's not lost For inside me Your love holds strong And it will, no Matter how long We are apart The bond will stay And grow in strength Til comes our day copyright 6/3/2001 Terri Lyn Stanfield All rights reserved
