I Asked For This So, I guess I asked for this Three kids and a dog A mortgage and two car notes A budget that squeezes a little too tight A schedule that Superman couldn't maintain And a constant state of confusion Well, they do say, be careful what you ask for I asked for it, and I got it And I couldn't be happier
Lifetime Commitment I could have left I had reason But it would have Felt like treason I took the vows I commited For a life time I'm no quitter So I will stay And work this out Yes, even though I have my doubts I can't deny That I've been hurt And even if You give your word You'll have to prove That it is true Because I've lost My trust in you But we'll make it Through this trial Though it's going To take a while But there's one thing I'm certain of That one sure thing That is our love
You Know You Did It You say that you are innocent Of all you've been accused That you were unaware, deceived That you were simply used Forgive me if I can't believe The sad tale that you claim You seem to me, to be aware Of all done in your name You're savvy, and you're on the ball A true, self made success And yet you claim that you were duped By amateurs, no less No, sorry, that just will not fly Why don't you just admit That you're the brains behind this scam And let's be done with it It really was a brilliant scheme With just one, tiny flaw Your accomplices were a joke And that was your downfall So drop this innocent charade And tell me your story Since you're going to take the fall You should get the glory
