Only In My Fantasies

I've always been true
I'd never cheat
Though I feel guilty
For just a beat
Sonetimes when you ask
If I've been true
And I'm sure it's that
That puzzles you
I have been faithful
Right from day one
But in fantasies
The things I've done!
And they are so real
Sometimes I think
Could this be cheating?
But in a wink
I'm off once again
To dream of things
That I'd never do
Because this ring
Is treasured by me
The vows I took
I hold as sacred
I can't be shook
But oh, how I dream
And fantasize
Of tall, dark strangers
With sexy eyes
And of other things
Wild and crazy
That, when remembered
Are rather hazy
But, actually
Through all our years
I've never cheated
On you, my dear
Because I love you
With all my heart
But fantasy does
Play a big part
In my normal life
What you don't know
Can never hurt you
And I will go
On with my private
Flights of fancy
And though it may be
Somewhat chancy
I think, in the end
That you'll agree
You reap the bounty
Of my "sex" spree

Rediscovery

On a dreary, rainy afternoon
With nothing else to do
We sat together, and talked
Really talked, in a way we hadn't in years
About things important, and thing trivial
Just enjoying each other's company
Sharing our thoughts and feelings
And rediscovering the joy of doing so
Finding, to our delight, that we still had things to say
to each other
And that we still wanted to hear them
Learning more of each other in that one afternoon than
we had in years
Really seeing each other for the first time in too long
Remembering things long forgotten
And promising never again to forget them
Falling in love all over again
And cherishing it for the gift that it was
Vowing never again to lose sight of it
And holding it, and each other, close
Just basking in the feeling
Lost in each other
As we watched the rain pour down
