At The Edge Of Forever I stand at the edge of forever And I find I am not afraid Though my choice will be everlasting I know that I carry your love with me And it buffers the fear of the unknown Perhaps I cannot be with you But I will always have your love And if, indeed, we must spend eternity apart from each other The fault will be mine, not yours Though it is my fervent hope to share eternal paradise with you If I should fall short of that It will not be for lack of effort on your part It will be because of my own shortcomings Your love has been exquisite And I only hope that, in the end I prove worthy of it Copyright 4/18/2001 Terri Lyn Stanfield All Rights Reserved
Sparring Partners We fight and argue at every turn It seems as if we'll never learn Knowing full well we can't live without The love we share, and there's no doubt That we were meant to be together So through the years, we have weathered The ups and downs of matrimony And though from time to time we'd see Some really bad times, they have been few And our love has always been true So why do we continue to fight It breaks my heart, it's just not right Usually it's just silly things It's not worth the heartache it brings So let's try to meet in the middle And maybe, little by little We'll get beyond these bothersome spats And appreciate where we're at These really should be our golden years Filled with laughter, and not with tears And I just don't want to fight with you Let's make a pact to try not to Fall back into this trap anymore The only thing worth fighting for Is you and me, and us, together And I know that we'd both rather Make love than war, let's waste no more time With petty quarrels, yours or mine Let's just focus on our love affair And show each other that we care And cherish the sweet longevity This wonder that is you and me Copyright 4/19/2001 Terri Lyn Stanfield All Rights Reserved
Little Man A miracle A thing of beauty My precious babe You're such a cutie With big, bright eyes And your dimpled chin You stole my heart In the instant when I first saw you And my gaze lingered You twisted me Around your finger Your slightest wish Will be my command And you will be Mama's little man Copyright 4/19/2001 Terri Lyn Stanfield All Rights Reserved
