...back to About. I'll put up some of the other members' stuff soon. For now, here's me.
Who?Dan O'Leary, keyboardist and songwriter. I've recorded several miles of tape in local studios for both my own and other people's projects, most of which you've never heard. Where? New Jersey Shore. Home of the 1998 and 2002 MTV Beach House and numerous Bon Jovi videos. Insert your gasps here. Bands? Over ten years: Emanon (later Interchange), Futura, Horizon, Funhouse, Goodbie Amy, None The Wiser, Blue Root, Timebomb, The Pulse, Triple Play, and currently Amethyst. Rock, pop, blues, alternative, dance, disco, and Eighties -- all that's missing is a polka band in there somewhere. Songs? Some of my early 90s songs are on Songs From The Edge, I & II by S/D Records. I'm also ashamed to admit I'm responsible for the title track of the indie B-horror film soundtrack The Nightmare Element, a film so bad it requires a Surgeon General's warning. ![]() Style? Rock-pop-a-palooza. Solid melodies with edgy guitars, some keys, and an occasional dash of humor. The closest I've come up with is: "The Ramones, Rush, Barenaked Ladies, Ben Folds, and Everclear get together to write the next Cheap Trick album." Influences: Rush, Marvelous 3, Replacments, REM, Barenaked Ladies, Tori Amos, Billy Joel, Queen, Dead Kennedys, Everclear, Bruce Springsteen (it's the law in NJ), Fountains of Wayne (more Jersey boys), Van Halen, 80s new wave, 70s punk. Confused yet? Instruments: keyboards, guitar, vocals, brass horns Featured On: ![]() Emanon, Songs From The Edge 1, Songs From The Edge 2, The Nightmare Element soundtrack, Bob n' Bob: Scenes From a Jersey Bar, EJECT!: self-titled (keyboards), and various small contributions to other projects over 15 years. Currently working on new album of new songs. |
