| Death Question or Perception? |
||||||||||||
| Maybe you are thinking about suicide, or have tried to kill yourself and don't know why. Or maybe you have had a loved one pass away, and you are dealing with that. Or you could just be feeling spiritually dead right now. If so, this page is for YOU. Read my bio, I know how it goes! Suicide. Death is addressed in many ways in the Bible. We as a society(America) put death in a light of sadness or desparity, which is one reason the "goth" culture is so misunderstood. Death in the case of your own personal longing to die can be dealt with. Jesus mentions death a lot, He would come back from prayer and start talking about how He was going to die soon. (not the most uplifting thing for the disciples I am sure) Christ looked at death in the face, and conquered it! We CAN do the same thing! If you are dealing with depression, sadness, or an addiction to suicide, please PRAY! Not a "please Jesus, help me if you want to" prayer, stand with boldness, tell the devil he has NO place in your life, and speak OUT LOUD! Prayers were cries to God, and when you cry out to God with a heart that longs for Him, He will answer the prayer. Suicide is a very serious subject, one that I have dealt with personally, and the idea or temptation to do that will probably not go away instantly. Keep on "renewing your mind", and know that God loves YOU when no one else does! If none of this helped, PLEASE go to this link...it might...click here. Loss of someone. This last year, my great-grandmother passed away. I refused to cry, and I was at peace for the most part. But if you are dealing with the loss of a loved one, there is some steps you can take. If the person was saved, then you should be happy that they are in a better place, one where there is no more pain of any kind! If you don't know for sure, then pray about it, talk to a friend, other family member, whoever. The most important thing is to allow God to heal you from your loss...God never gaurantee's christians the lack of pain, just that He would be with us through any pain or problem we find ourselves in. Spiritually Dead. Sometimes as Christians, we think we are "spiritually dead" and we are just in a time where God allows us to be tested. God never tests us, in fact, He can't! (James 1) In your life, times will occur as Christians when you feel like you can't get anything from God, or you are not good enough, and those are the most important times in you walk. Those times will increase your faith, or let it stay stagnant! In Romans, it talks about how God needs to prune us, so that we can "bear fruit." All this means is that if we do not allow God to change us, then we will not prosper. After salvation, God wants to teach us through prayer and reading scripture what He wants to do with us. I have plans for you, that you may prosper (Psalm 20:4) God wants the best for you, He will allow us times when we feel empty, but those are the times we can grow in faith, and those are the battles that decide our maturity and growth in Christ. |
