The Issues
Home
In a world where "anything goes," the church chooses their topics very carefully...topics that are ignored NEED to be addressed. The Bible talks about all things that are in darkness being exposed into light. Nothing we do is unseen by God, but that has always been the case, and is not the issue. The issue is that the church is not opening the issues that we average, everyday, Christian teens and adults are facing. Issues like homosexuality, pornography masturbation, etc. These issues, the ones that are so easily condemned, but never openly discussed, are taking the lives, minds, and spirits of our youth and adults within the church!
I am not a doctor, nor do I hold any position of authority on matters like this, but I do know that God wants us to to talk about them! It isn't easy! I will be the
first to admit that, but God never said it would be! The issues need to be discussed one by one, in detail, no holds barred, with the same confidence we rejoice on Sunday, and the same seriousness that we worship with at church.
This are serious matters, that keep chains on our adults as well as youth, and until the chains are loosed, there will be no victory for the saved in these matters! Please read the issues below, keep them in prayer and not just thought, read them even if you aren't dealing with them, your
neighbor might be, or your son or daughter might be, have you ever thought about it? God and this ministry challenge you to.
" I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born, I set you apart..." Jeremiah 1:5

Issue No.1: Homosexuality
This topic is one that I am now finding more and more in the church, or within discussions in churches. That I consider a good thing. The issue is not only male, it deals with female homosexuality as well. The names fag, homo, queer, and many others that will not be mentioned on this site are flung around in school yards. Notice I didn't say High School locker rooms, I said school yards, like the ages of fourth and fifth graders, or younger! This may not be a surprise, since the "openness" with the issue in the media with shows like "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and "Queer as Folk" going on.

62% of parents of teenagers are unaware that their kids have accessed questionable websites. (Yankelovich Partners Study, Sept. 30, 1999.)

The idea that your child hasn't been exposed to these tv shows, or other venues that homosexuality is being openly shown in a good light, is not only ignorant, it is dangerous!
There are things that you need to remember, the issue is not to be attacked like Afghanistan, do NOT blow up on your kid if he expresses any sign of homosexuality. Do NOT go after your child asking apalling questions of him, discuss it like a mature adult, as a Christian, with Christian love. There is a webpage that may be able to inform and help you if you are dealing with thoughts or acts of homosexuality, click here. Another site that is helpful in many areas along with homosexuality is Crosswalk.com, to read what they have to say about homosexuality, click here.

The next page will discuss pornography, the "m" word, and the ways to get set free from the biggest hinderance America has ever seen!
"According to Christianity Today, the percentage of Pastor's that visited a porn site. 57% Never. 21% a few times a year. 9% once in the past year. 7% more than a year ago, and 6% said a couple times a month or more."
