CARRIE - Carrie is a 29 year old female. She lives in Ontario Canada with her husband and two sons. She also shares a home with 4 cats and a dog (yikes)!. Carrie had BP in 2002 and fully recovered. Then in December of 2002 she got undefined FP. She came across the BPIS site during her first bout of BP. Receiving all the help one could want she decided to stick around to see if she could help and like Splash they cant get rid of Carrie either. She enjoys reading, writing, playing with her sons and spending time on the computer.
JUDY - Judy is a little older than Splash, but nowhere near as young as Carrie! :) She lives in Kentucky USA, in a small town in the country, with her hubby and one dog named Bubba. She likes to read and write, and also enjoys home decorating. She has had Bells Palsy twice. The first time in November 2001 and then on the opposite side in January 2002.
EMMA - Emma is Splash's daughter. She likes listening to music, is a brilliant swimmer and spends much time glued to her laptop, a condition inherited from Splash!LOL She wrote her own poem which is on page 5 and helped Splash write the poem 'Crooked Smiles' which is on the Fun page. She has also been very helpful in advising on the design of the site. :)
JJ - JJ aka Thumper or anything else you want to call her LOL, lives in the U.K. She has suffered with B.P on both sides of her face since Oct 2001. She believes that laughter is the best medicine and has a wonderful sense of humour. So you'll notice most of her posts and poems tend to be light hearted. When she's having a bad time she goes back down in her wabbit hole till she's feeling better, but its always great to have her back.:)
SHERRY - Sherry lives in Philadelphia, PA, USA. She was in the middle of recording her first CD when she was striken with Bells Palsy in March 2001.One of the best things that came out having BP is that she got to meet up with Splash in December 2002 (Soon to be a full length movie :-)) She is a singer/songwriter who has fought BP residuals to continue performing. She wrote the song 'You Can Always See Her Smile' , inspired from her own and others' experiences with BP. It appears as a track on the CD she released last year called 'Smooth Dry & Cookin'. Apart from singing she is a professional organizer and is forming a writers group starting in September.
SUSAN - Susan lives in North Carolina USA, but lived in Virginia for 19 years before. She is a 40 something single mother of 5. Although she does not have BP herself, she has met a wonderful man on the internet who does. The things they have shared with his having BP and how he has handled it was the inspiration for her poem 'Looking Outside To In'. She is not sure if they will ever meet in person, but he has left footprints on her heart.:) She is very grateful that she was welcomed by the people at the Discussion Center even though she doesn't have BP. But as a result of her friend having it, she feels she is no longer ignorant to what it is, or how it effects those that have it, or those that love someone that does.
CHARLENE - Charlene grew up in Madison, Illinois USA (right across the river from St. Louis). Since her High School days, she has lived in Kentucky, New Jersey, and Colorado. Currently, she's living in Colorado Springs...right at the base of Pike's Peak. It don't get much better that that! She's worked for over twenty years in the IT industry. She has always loved 'writing' and began publishing devotionals in church newsletters even in High School. She enjoys raising tropical fish and watching Tom Hanks' movies :-).
FLIP - Flip comes from the Planet Zog. She came to Earth to find out more about BP as she has had it twice spanning two different centuries! She now lives quite near Splash and drives her nuts with her very weird sense of humour and Jekyll and Hyde personality.She's not giving away her age, but she was thirty something when BP first happened and that was several eons ago. Her favourite pastimes are causing havoc and mayhem, baking Zogite special fruit cake and dancing on a small square portable karaoke dance floor while singing along to Andy Williams greatest hits. Sadly Zogites have no taste in music whatsoever. But she does like our poetry and has had a good go at it with her Photograph poem.
SHERRY K - Sherry lives in the mountains of West Virginia with a very fat cat named Sebastian. She uses writing as a way to sort through her extreme range of emotions. She collects swords and loves the artistry of them. She hopes one day to make one of her own design. Like everyone else she came across the BPIS site and was immediately blown away by the selflessness of the people that have reached out to share their pain, their experiences and their desire to help others.
