DEDICATED TO BPERS

It is from this site
I find beauty
The true beauty of human spirit
I find many hearts
The hearts of gold, the most gentle, loving, and embracing
It is in this unknown corner of the world
I find strength
The strength that
Evolved from tears, pain, suffering
Unknown to the "layman"
Then, intertwined, with joys,happiness
Like waves of the ocean
To be pushed by invisible hands
To the shore, and some
Back to the endless ocean...

It is on this new engulfing path
Suddenly opened up to the naive eyes
The strange travellers
United, hand in hand
Shoulder by shoulder
They stand, proudly
To go through the journey
Sunny days
The rainy nights
Band each others wound
Wipe the newcomer's tears,
Invigorating the longtimers vitality
With the most gentle words or humor
That could ease the most brutal pain
better than the meds .

It is from all the e-mails
Long or short
I learned and re-learned many times
In only a matter of a few days
That, love can be unconditional
That, giving can be generous beyond duty
That, friendship is a fountain of strength
That, we must help one another
That, we will succeed, sooner or later, one way or the other.

PATIENCE

You act like you don't care,
But deep inside you're scared.
You think you're the only one
In which the illness has begun.
It matters not what others say.
Their comfort will not sway.
You think you have it the worst.
"The others don't matter!" you burst.
Patience is the key, I guess.
Patience and optimism and nothing less.
It might eventually go away,
But stress might cause delay.
But you aren't the only one
In which the illness has begun.
You will get better
Sooner or later.
