WISHING FOR A BETTER DAY

There's water on the mirror, a reflection of your tears,
Droplets of the pain you have endured for years.
Like footprints on the sand, slowly washed away,
Sad echoes of the past imprinted on today.
The blue of your eyes frosted with fatigue,
So many questions, no answers, a world of agonising intrigue.
You hold back the emotions you refuse to allow,
Holding tight to the spirit that lifts you somehow.

You say "I'm doing fine". I don't think so.
Don't you know I can see what you try not to show?
"Come sit next to me, hold my hand".
I feel you trembling, your fingers slipping like sand.
You look to the floor, a half smile your disguise,
But I already saw the pain in your eyes.
"Be right back" You leave me wondering what to do,
Your suffering torments me, I know I can't help you.

I stay with you, talk with you until sleep drags me away,
Laugh with you, grin with you, wish for a better day.
Imagine all the places that you and I will see for real,
When going to get coffee isn't such a big deal.
When smiling is easy and life is much more fun,
When you don't have to suffer and can just get up and run.
"Goodnight, sweet dreams my friend" Have to leave you now,
I promise to be back tomorrow, I wont ever let you down.

MY KINE

I love my kin
She is the best
She makes my face work
and that is my quest

She knows her stuff
And that is true
She is a young Parisienne
And charming too

She is so positive
It cheers me up
Her gentle touch
Makes my smile erupt

So here's to all my BP friends
I promise to all of you
That residuals can be sorted
And you will be happy too
