CROLI

�It aims to encourage rationality in presenting legal environment and to provide an academic and

purely objective analysis on any area of law and legal education;

�To create awareness amongst masses regarding all existing laws like Intellectual Property Rights,

Human Rights, Environment Protection Laws, Corporate Laws, Family Laws, Labour Laws, Cyber

Crime Laws, Consumer Protection Laws etc;

�To educate the general public about the importance of Rule of Law in our society and the

impact of legal decisions on our daily lives and especially on economic system;

�To help in bridging the gap between the legal fraternity and public at large;

�With the collaboration of other research societies, stake holders, government departments and

international organizations, launch campaigns, research work, publications, conduct seminars

and conferences for the general understanding of the law in our country;

�Public Interest Litigation;

�Another main focus of the Society at present is IPRs. While there has been a huge surge in the

importance of IPRs, Pakistan remains one of the most non-favourable countries in terms of

protection of IPRs. However CRoLI through its efforts is educating various stakeholders on these

issues and in the last few years we have witnessed immense improvement in the national

framework of IPRs through the efforts of CRoLI;

�We are also working on various issues relating to Environment, which include the impact of Ship

breaking on the Environment. In this regard our President has also delivered various lectures

within Pakistan as well as in Netherlands, England and Scotland;

�In the recent past we have also initiated projects for helping the Prisoners who have not been

released due to non payment of fines to the Government. In this regard we are seeking to obtain

help and aid from various international organizations and pay the fines on behalf of inmates, to

help them attain freedom as they have completed their prison terms;

�We are also working in collaboration with USIP on projects for protecting the legal rights of the

visually impaired and by way of litigation seeking directions for provision of non-discriminatory

treatment towards them;

�Amongst other major achievements of CRoLI we have conducted various famous successful

litigations such as Lahore Bachao, P.S.O Prices case, Reko Diq etc; and

�Worked in various other areas of Law including International Child Abductions (Hague and Pak-

UK Protocol), Illegal Immigrations etc.
