| Chapter 2 Ria Sanchez walked into her motel room. She took the envelope out of her pocket and over to her duffel bag in the far corner of the room. She put it inside and extracted her laptop computer from the bag. She set the computer on the bed, sat down in front of it, and began to type. Within ten minutes she had hacked into the World Security Bureau's mainframe and was looking up everything they had on AJ Quartermaine. ~~~ Sonny Corinthos sat on the sofa in the penthouse a drink in his hand when Johnny opened the door. "Sir, Courtney's here." Sonny stood and took his drink over to the bar and set it down as Courtney walked in. "Hi Sonny," she said. "Courtney," he replied simply as the phone rang. He walked over to the desk and answered it. "Was it taken care of? Good. I know." He hung up and turned back to his sister. ~~~ Frisco Jones, Senior Officer in the WSB, walked into his office to find a not-so-dead Robert Scorpio waiting for him. "Anything?" Frisco asked. "No, but I Blue Tagged her file." "Good." "Anything from Mac?" Robert asked standing up and walking to the window. "No, not yet, I faxed him some very blurry photos of Ria, that should be enought to catch Felicia's attention." "Of course it will, she'll be looking at someone whom she thought was killed years ago." ~~~ Ria sighed when she saw what little information the WSB had on AJ. She was about to close her laptop but decided to look up her own file. She typed in her name and bypassed all of the 'Classified' passwords until she got to her file. It was Blue Tagged. She closed the laptop. stood up, and began to pace the room. Why would her file be Blue Tagged? It didn't make any sense. She stalked over to the bedside table and picked up the phone, she dialed the now familiar number angrily. ~~~ A short monotone beep came from the computer causing Robert and Frisco to look at it. "She's accessed it," Robert said. "Yeah," Frisco said looking at his watch. "Three, two, one." As if on cue, Frisco's phone rang. He answered it. "Hello Ria," he said. "Let me put you on speaker." Frisco pushed the button and set the reciever down. "Hello Ria," Robert said. "What the hell are you two doing?" Ria demanded. Frisco was nonchalant as he spoke to her. "Well, Ria, we simply want to talk to you." "You've done your talking Jones." "Ria," Robert warned. "Shut the hell up Scorpio." "You won't get away this time Ria," Frisco continued. "The PCPD knows that you're there." "I got away from you, I can get away from them." "Maybe so, but I think Frisco and I forgot to tell you that your sister used to live in Port Charles and everyone in that town thinks that she died years ago." "You set this up didn't you?" Ria asked. "Maybe," was Robert's answer. "This isn't over Scorpio," Ria said before she hung up. Frisco looked at Robert and nodded. "I'll make the call," Robert said pulling out his own cell phone. ~~~ Courtney was talking about how she wanted to see Micheal. Sonny was listening to her without really listening. "Look, Courtney," Sonny began, "I know that AJ sent you here. You can go back to the Quartermaine mansion and tell him that he won't get near Micheal, ever." He stood up to fix another drink when his phone rang again. He answered it. "Yeah. Okay, I'll take care of it. Have you taken care of your end yet? Make sure you do. I hope not." He hung up and pulled out his cell phone. "Benny, call Sanchez, it's cancelled. Tell her that the WSB questioned me." He hung up and turned to Courtney. "As of tomorrow morning, AJ, Edward, Monica, and Alan will not be allowed within one hundred feet of Micheal until he is eighteen." "How can you do that?" Courtney asked. "I have my ways," Sonny said coldly. "You can go tell AJ what I said. He won't be able to get it revoked either." "Why not?" "It's been approved by a higher court." "You can't do this." "It's already done." Sonny walked over to the bar and poured drink. He downed it as Courtney left the penthouse. ~~~ Ria slammed the phone down. They had tricked her. The hit was a set up. Frisco knew that she'd do anything to get away from the island, but to set her up like he had. Oh well, she told herself as her cell phone rang. "Sanchez. Yeah, I'll be there." She tossed her phone back on her bed and sighed. The Quartermaine hit had been cancelled. ~~~ Frisco and Robert stepped onto the private jet and instructed the pilot to take off. They sat across from each other. Robert sighed. "I hope this works," Frisco said. "It will." "I still can't believe that you set Ria up like that." "It had to be done." "Robert?" Frisco questioned noticing that his friend had that far off look in his eyes. "Ria knows what happened that day, Frisco, don't you want Tony to know as well?" "Of course, but why this way, couldn't we just have the PCPD grab her until we get there?" "We could, but she'd call her aunt in the KGB and be out and on her way back to Russia before we even got on the plane." "You're afraid of her, aren't you?" Frisco asked quietly. Robert looked up and gave Frisco a grim smile. "She's deadly, and she Port Charles' worst nightmare." |
