| Chapter 11 Alex shook her head and answered her ringing phone. "Hello." "Hello, Alex," Anna said from the other end. "Where are you?" "Where are you?" "At the cabin with Andrea," Alex said. "Why?" "Is Sean there?" "Yeah, why?" "What about Mac and Robert?" "Yes." "Can you give the phone to Sean, I need to talk to him." Alex sighed and held the phone out to Sean. "My loving sister wants to talk to you." Sean smiled and took the phone. "Yes Anna." "Helena had one of her goons take some shots at Erica and I in the park." Sean sucked in a breath and left the room. Once he was sure that no one could hear him he spoke. "Are you both okay?" "Yes, were fine. Erica has a graze on her arm, but otherwise okay. We need Alex to take a look at it to be sure though." "And she doesn't want Mac or Robert to know." "Exactly." "I'll get rid of them." "Be subtle." "Aren't I always?" She laughed and hung up. He sighed and dialed a number. After calling Felicia at the Outback and being informed of the situation, he walked back into the room where Robert, Mac, Alex and Andrea were waiting. "There's a situation at the Outback that requires our attention," he said quickly. Robert and Mac looked at each other and turned to leave the cabin as Alex turned to Sean. "What was that all about?" "Someone took some shots at Anna and Erica in the park. A bullet grazed Erica's arm but Anna says they're both okay." "So they're coming here?" "Yes, Erica didn't want to have to face Robert and Mac so I had to get them out of here." Alex nodded and Sean left. ~~~ "It would," Luke said eyeing Helena. "So Spencer, what do you think we should do with them?" Stefan asked. "Oh, I don't know, maybe we should put them both in that torture chamber you suggested earlier." "Maybe we could invite the town." "And let everyone do something," Luke said smiling mischeviously. "Oh Luke," Helena said walking towards him. "You love me too much to kill me." "I love ya 'bout s'much as your son over there does, Hells." Helena smiled. "Well, since it seems that my niece and nephew have other things to do I'll leave you two to your games." Helena turned around to leave but Luke grabbed her arm, preventing her from going anywhere. Stefan stepped closer. "The Caddy's in the back," Luke said. "Or we could go through the catacombs to the island." Stefan raised his eyebrows and nodded. Together the two of the dragged Helena out of the resturant with Felicia, Zander, Lucky, Michelle, and Robin staring after them. "What the hell just happened?" Lucky asked. ~~~ Anna and Erica waited until they saw Sean's car pull away from the cabin before they walked inside. Alex was waiting for the with her hands on her hips like a mother scolding her children. "Hello Alex," Anna and Erica said at the same time. "Anna, Erica," Alex said. "Can't you two stay out of trouble for a few days?" "No," Anna answered her sister. Erica laughed. Alex sighed. "Come on Erica," she said walking towards the back of the cabin. ~~~ Frisco glanced at the man sitting behind him again. Something wasn't right, he thought to himself as the plane began to descend in Dallas. Something definately wasn't right. ~~~ Sean, Mac, and Robert got to the Outback in record time and walked inside. "What's going on here?" Robert demanded. "Well," Felicia said. "Luke and Stefan just kidnapped Helena." Sean laughed. "Figures." Mac glared at him. "And what does that mean?" "It means," Sean said, "that Luke and Stefan are keeping up their end of the deal." "What deal?" "Later. Anyways, I need to go." Sean turned and left. Zander turned towards his sister and cousin, "We should got outta here." Robin nodded. "Sean arranged a cabin right outside of town to use as a safehouse for Alex and Andrea, I'm sure that's where everyone's meeting at." "Okay, are you ready Michelle?" Michelle nodded. "Okay, let's go." The three stood up and prepared to leave as Robert walked over to them. "Where are you going?" "Somewhere other than here," Zander said as he pushed past him with Robin and Michelle trailing. Robert sat down in the chair that his daughter had vacated and sighed, putting his head in his hands. After a minute, he stood up and went behind the bar and poured himself a drink. ~~~ "Well, it is just a graze," Alex told Erica. "And you won't have to worry about it." "Okay," Erica said as Alex left the room. After a minute she followed her out to where she, Anna, and Andrea were getting ready to leave. "Where are you three going?" "To get some food for this place, since Sean obviously doesn't know how to shop," Anna said. "Oh, have fun," Erica said, turning to go back to the bedroom. "Oh, no, you're going too," Anna said. Erica turned to face her former sister-in-law, "Really?" "Yes." "The kids are going to be here soon," Erica noted. "So? They can take care of themselves until we get back." "I think you're trying to set me up for something." "Moi?" Anna said, feigning innocence. "Yes, you," Erica replied. She glanced at Alex. "Is she?" "I wouldn't know." "Uh huh. Anyways, I will stay here and wait for my son and daughter." Anna sighed. "I knew you wee setting me up," Erica said. "So where were you really planning to go?" "To Mac's house," Alex said. "I figured as much. Can't you two just let me do this on my own terms, my own way?" "Your own way, Erica, would be running out again." "I wouldnt, not now." "So you say." "Anna," Alex warned. Anna looked at her sister. Alex nodded and she and Andrea left the room. "Erica, you have to face Robert and Mac sometime." "I will, but like I said, it will be on my terms, not their's." "Okay, I won't push it anymore, but I won't promise to keep them at bay either. If they show up here or at th hotel demanding to see you..." "I know." Anna nodded. "Well we are going to the store, and we'll be back later." "Okay." Anna hugged Erica tightly before she turned and left. ~~~ Luke and Stefan dragged a fighting Helena trough the catacombs until they came to an entrance of Wyndemere. Together, they pulled her through the entrance and into a small room with only a solitary chair in it. They pulled her to the chair and pushed her down onto it. "What is the meaning of this?" she demanded. Luke and Stefan ignored her as thy walked out of the room locking the door behind them. "You understand the arrangement?" Stefan asked Luke. "Hell, yeah, I understand, what I don't understand is why the hell I hafta work with you." "Talk to your friend Donnelly." "Yeah, I will." Luke turned and followed the maze of catacombs away from Spoon Island. ~~~ Robert had downed his seventh drink when Sean walked in. Mac signalled for him to leave Robert alone but Sean ignored him and went to his friend. "Robert?" "Go to hell, Sean," Robert muttered, downing another drink. "Robert, you shouldn't be drinking." "Like you care what I should be doing." "I do." "What, are you going to go tell my former wife that I'm getting drunk?" Robert asked sarcastically as he came around the bar. "No, but I may tell your sister." Even drunk, Robert's right hook sent Sean to the floor. "Bloody bastard," he muttered before walking back to the office. |
